- Vanilla– This is optional, but I think a little splash of vanilla balances the syrup without detracting from the cinnamon flavor.
How to Make Brown Sugar Cinnamon Syrup
- Dissolve the sugar in water. In a medium saucepan, combine the brown sugar, water, and cinnamon sticks over medium heat. Bring to a simmer, stirring often, and protract simmering until sugar is dissolved.
