INGREDIENTS NEEDED FOR QUICK AND CREAMY BROCCOLI LEEK SOUP

Butter – This recipe calls for two tablespoons of salted butter to sauté the vegetables. You want the vegetables to be soft and lightly browned but not crispy. 

Broccoli – You’ll need 12 ounces of broccoli florets for this recipe. Be sure to wash and trim the broccoli removing any bad spots.

Leeks – This recipe calls for 2-3 leeks depending on size. Remove the top dark green leaves of the leek leaving behind the root portion. Wash well and slice into ½ inch rounds. You’ll need about 2 cups for this recipe.

Garlic – This recipe calls for 2-3 cloves of minced garlic. You’ll want about 1-1.5 teaspoons.

Cannellini Beans – Using your BLACK+DECKER kitchen wand with can opening attachment, open a can of cannellini beans. Rinse and drain the beans before use.

HOW TO MAKE QUICK AND CREAMY BROCCOLI LEEK SOUP

Heat a soup pot or Dutch oven over medium high heat and add the butter.

Next, add the prepared leeks, trimmed broccoli, and minced garlic. Sauté until tender and lightly browned but not crispy.

Next, deglaze the pan with the chicken broth. Stir well and simmer. STORAGE
